Short version: the status checker uses public FMCSA data. We only share what you type into a form, only with the agencies named on the page, and only when you ask. You can have it deleted by email.

Two kinds of information

Public FMCSA data. Your company name, DOT and MC numbers, filing dates, insurance and BOC-3 status, city, state, and the contact details on your FMCSA registration. FMCSA publishes this. We copy it into our database so the checker and the carrier pages work. We do not change it and we cannot remove it from FMCSA.

What you give us. If you ask for quotes we store your name, phone, email if you gave one, DOT number, the help you picked, the exact consent text you saw, the time, your IP address, and your browser type.

Who sees what you give us

Only the agencies named on the page when you agreed, up to three, or one if that agency pays for exclusive leads. They get your name, phone, email if given, DOT number, state, and the consent record. They may call, text by hand, or email you about the help you picked. They agree to our rules: licensed in your state, real people calling, no robocalls, no resale. They are separate companies with their own privacy practices.

Those agencies pay First Load a flat fee for the introduction. That is how the checker stays free.

If no agency is ready in your state, we hold your request and share nothing until one is.

What we measure

We log what happens on our own site: pages viewed, lookups, whether you saw the quote offer, and whether you sent the form. We also use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. It sets its own cookies and Google may process that data under its own privacy policy. We turn on IP masking and do not use it for ads. A random session id in your browser ties one visit together on our own log and is gone when you close the tab.

The daily list we sell

First Load also sells a daily list of new MC filings to trucking vendors such as insurance agencies and ELD companies. It is built from the public FMCSA record: the same company name, DOT and MC numbers, address, phone and email that anyone can look up. It does not include anything you typed into this site, and it does not say who is shopping for any product. If you opt out of First Load email, your address is left off the list.

Email from us

If your email is on a public FMCSA filing, we may send you one message about your status and this site. Every message has an unsubscribe link. We honor it within one business day and we never sell or pass on an address that opted out.

How long we keep it

Consent records and lead deliveries: 4 years, because agencies and regulators can ask us to prove consent. Site logs: 90 days. Public FMCSA data: as long as the checker runs.

Your choices

Email info@getfirstload.com to see what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We confirm within five business days. Deleting it does not undo an introduction that already went out, but we will tell the agency you asked.
